After saying goodbye to Ms. Bolger, Presentation Secondary School Waterford proudly welcomes its new Principal, Ms. Ronayne.
Formerly a teacher of Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, as well as a Deputy Principal and Principal of other schools, Ms. Ronayne brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She has already praised the school for how clean the students keep it. Ms. Ronayne brings a fresh perspective along with her experience as a former student, which she hopes to use to improve the school for everyone. Her personal motto is "Aim high, dream big," reflecting her years of hard work and dedication, which have led to many achievements in her career.
At Presentation Secondary School, Ms. Ronayne aims to continue Ms. Bolger’s efforts to maintain an inclusive and welcoming environment. She also hopes to foster a strong sense of community, encouraging all students to feel proud of their school and peers.
Ms. Ronayne’s interest in teaching was sparked by her job at a resource centre, where she helped people with their work. There, she discovered her love for teaching. Inspired by the former principal of Pres De la Salle, she set her sights on becoming a principal, a goal she achieved through perseverance.
Ms. Ronayne hopes to motivate students with the statement, "Always do your best because nobody can ask for more." She supports students not only in their academic pursuits but also in physical education. Having played basketball during her time at Pres, she particularly values encouraging students to enjoy the sports offered by the school.
Presentation Secondary School Waterford is extremely excited to see how life will be with Ms. Ronayne as the principal as we move forward.
